Pluto Provides Safe Solutions for Train Maintenance

When the Stockholm commuter train X60 gets service and maintenance, 24 Plutos are involved.

The Stockholm local traffic uses 24 Plutos and 225 meters of safety fences in their train workshop for maintenance of commuter trains. The fences protect against entrance to the train roof when high voltage is switched on.

There are 40 electrically locked sliding doors equipped with bridges and safe booms monitored by 86 Eden sensors.

Benefits

The system has 250 meters of bus cables. Via a gateway the Pluto system is communicating with the train signal system.

The Pluto system made it easy to maneuver the bridges, safety booms and key lock switches to the train roof. It also facilitated communication with the safe signals and made the 250 meter long service track safe and flexible for the crew.
